Maconaquah Schools

The Maconaquah girls' tennis team fought hard but ultimately fell to Manchester in last night’s match. Despite close rallies across the board, the team struggled to close out points. In singles play, Kiera Rosenow lost 0-6, 3-6, while Molly Berryman dropped her match 0-6, 1-6. Finley Dobbs also faced a tough opponent, falling 0-6, 1-6. In doubles action, Carola Sebastianelli and Josie Callane put up a fight but came up short, 3-6, 3-6. Lacie Williams and Sophia Kenworth ended with a 1-6, 3-6 loss. Our JV team also played tough matches last night, coming out with 2 wins. 1 doubles Abby Green and Gabby Griffis won 8-0, and 4 singles with Chloe Beitz winning 6-0! Despite the final scores, the team showed some strong points throughout the night, they just couldn't quite finish when it counted. The team looks to bounce back stronger in their next match against Eastern on Wednesday.
