MMS Soccer captured another victory Thursday night - this time versus Lakeview Christian. While LC had a less experienced team, Maconaquah used the match once again to work on communication and spreading the field - which will no doubt help them as they play tougher opponents in the future. The Braves also used the opportunity to put 12 players in position to score goals for the match. Filling the stat sheet were: Kamarious Armstrong (1 goal), Diego Jimenez (1 goal, 1 assist), Jaxon Cole (1 goal, 2 assists), Evan Zeiser (1 goal, 2 assists), Levi Merritt (1 goal), Max Berryman (1 goal, 2 assists), Martin Chaires (2 goals, 2 assists), Delilah Hagen (1 goal), Yader Aguiriano (2 goals), Diego Midence (1 goal, 1 assist), Lily Barnett (2 goals, 1 assist), Xavier Waller (1 goal), and Cohen Beebe (2 assists). Xavier, Caleb Barnett, and Levi took turns as goalkeeper for the match. Coach Wilhelm said, "It's great to see the unselfish play from our team. Tonight we scored 15 goals by 12 different players and 13 of the goals came off assists from teammates." The Braves move to 5-0 on the season. After 5 games, remarkably, 20 of the 22 MMS players have scored at least one goal this season. The Braves travel to Peru to take on their rival Tigers on Monday.
