MMS Soccer Tames the Tigers (11-0)

The MMS Soccer team improved to 6-0 after capturing a victory against the Peru Tigers. The squad started strong, scoring early and often, with a balanced attack that saw 10 different players scoring goals. The Braves spread the field well, using effective passing to possess the ball the majority of the match. Filling the scoresheet: Diego Jimenez (2 goals), Diego Midence (1 goal, 1 assist), Cohen Beebe (1 goal, 1 assist), Evan Zeiser (1 goal, 2 assists), Caleb Barnett (1 goal), Gideon Pier (1 goal), Max Berryman (1 goal, 1 assist), Kamarious Armstrong (1 goal, 1 assist), Martin Chaires (1 goal, 1 assist), and Jaxon Cole (1 goal, 2 assists). Blaine Morgan and Levi Merritt played goalkeeper for the Braves - allowing no goals. Assistant Coach Zachary Sparks commented, "It's always nice to beat your rivals and we got the job done today. In the pregame huddle, I told the kids that Coach Wilhelm went to school and played soccer at Peru, so I think that motivated them a little extra to put on a dominating performance". The undefeated Braves host Kokomo tonight (4/29) at Mac Stadium.
