MMS Soccer Stays Perfect

MMS Soccer traveled to Wabash and came home with a 6-0 win - improving to 9-0 on the season. With rain off and on throughout the game, the passing wasn't a crispy as the Braves would have liked, but the defense mitigated any chance of the Apaches touching the scoreboard. The Braves scoring started with a nice corner kick from Kamarious Armstrong that was eventually knocked in by a Wabash defender. The next two goals were scored by Jaxon Cole - one off a nice pass by Levi Merritt and one off another great corner kick by Kamarious that Jaxon was able to get his head on. Second half scoring included a break away solo goal by Kamarious, one more great corner kick by Kamarious that found the knee of Evan Zeiser for the goal, and Evan scoring his second goal of the match off an assist from Xavier Waller. Blaine Morgan spent the night in goal and had several saves. Coach Wilhelm said, "It was sloppier than we'd like it to be, but a win is a win...on to the next." The Braves host Eastern at 6 pm on Wednesday night.
