Maconaquah Women Dominate at the Apache Invitational Wabash, IN – May 2, 2025 – The Maconaquah Women's Track and Field team delivered a strong performance at the Apache Invitational held at Wabash High School, securing first place with a total score of 134.5 points.The Lady Braves demonstrated their strength across various events, outscoring second-place Fremont (103 points) and third-place Triton (95 points). Key highlights of the meet include: Desriana Elliott's performance in the shot put (31' 0.5") and discus throw (83' 2"), earning third and fifth place, respectively. Kiara Cox also scored in discus throw (74' 0"). Lena Beachy and Delight Pier were successful taking second and fifth place in pole vault. Macie McManus achieved first place in the 1600-meter run with a time of 5:59.19 and also scored in the 300-meter hurdles. Molly Berryman secured second place in the 100-meter dash with a time of 13.22 and fourth place in the 200-meter dash (28.16). Elaina Montgomery finished second in the 200-meter dash (27.00). Zoie Laber took third in the 800-meter run (2:44.87) and second in the 400-meter dash (1:04.09). Samantha Jones contributed to the team score in both the 800-meter and 1600-meter runs. Jalynn Sullivan scored in the high jump. Ani Osornio competed in the 100-meter hurdles. The Maconaquah 4x100 relay team secured first place with a time of 52.22. The Lady Brave's distance squad were victorious whenever their spikes met the track. The 4x800 relay team of Zoie Laber, Lucy Loshnowsky, Samantha Jones, and Chloe Jordan swept the competition with a time of 10:40.84. The 4x400 relay team (Elaina Montgomery, Delight Pier, Samantha Jones, and Lucy Loshnowsky) also swept the competition, even in the dark couldn't slow them down! The Lady Braves' success at the Apache Invitational demonstrates their continued commitment to excellence and their ability to perform strongly across diverse track and field events.
