The Braves hosted Eastern in a physical and competitive soccer match on Wednesday night. In a game where the final score doesn't tell an accurate story of how closely the teams are matched, the Braves were able to make the most of their scoring opportunities with a 7-2 win. The Brave's 7th grade talent was on full display during the match - Max Berryman had 1 goal and 3 assists, Martin Chaires had 2 goals, and Diego Jimenez had a goal on a penalty kick and an assist on a corner kick. The 8th grade Braves helped out as Kamarious Armstrong had 1 goal and 1 assist and both Levi Merritt and Jaxon Cole added a goal. Despite Eastern sneaking in two goals against the Braves, our defensive line and goalkeeper, Xavier Waller, played well. Coach Wilhelm said, "It was nice to play against a physical opponent. Our players reacted well, stood their ground, and handle their business." The Braves host Manchester next Tuesday (5/13).
